How to create a Drupal view with future events / dates of nodes

All you have to do is create a new view that shows content of type 'event'... set that on the first page of creating your view. Make sure you check the 'block' option at the bottom - it's up to you whether you also want to create a page display or not, that's checked by default. Also, before moving onto the second page, make sure that your view is a list of 'fields' rather than 'teasers'.

Trobleshooting computed field with Drupal 8 (Drupal core 8.3.2; May 2017)

Computed fields don't display on content types which existed prior the module is installed >> Create a new content type and everything works smoothly

Important: The field only updates when the node is saved (Cron, clear cache and similar not enough)

The Drupal 8 Quick Clone module works very similar as the Drupal 7 Node Clone module. The quick clone module allows users to make a copy of an existing item of site content (a node) and then edit that copy. Doing so the authorship is set to the current user and the menu and url aliases are reset.
