Use the module "Media: TED" to easily publish videos from ted.com on your Drupal website

TED is a nonprofit devoted to spreading ideas, usually in the form of short, powerful talks (18 minutes or less). TED began in 1984 as a conference where Technology, Entertainment and Design converged, and today covers almost all topics — from science to business to global issues — in more than 100 languages.

If you want to integrate videos from ted.com into your website I suggest you to use the module Media: TED. This module provides you an Embedded Media Field that you can add to any content type. Once added you can very easily publish ted.com videos by just copying and pasting the link from ted.com.

This module requires you to install the following modules first:

https://drupal.org/project/emfield

Important notice: As of April 22 2014, you have to add ".html" to the link you copy from ted.com. An example:

1. If You copy the link http://www.ted.com/talks/john_searle_our_shared_condition_consciousness from ted.com
2. You have to paste the link http://www.ted.com/talks/john_searle_our_shared_condition_consciousness.... into the embedded media field
